COVID-19 SECURE CLASS GUIDE AND PARTICIPATION AGREEMENT
WELCOME BACK!
Below you will find our COVID-19 agreement. This agreement details what we’re doing to help keep you safe, and what we would like you to do in return to keep us safe and open.
We’re following Government guidelines, as well as guidelines from sportscotland and the wider circus industry. The pandemic is an ever changing situation, and so we are continuously taking the best advice applicable to our activities. Please regularly check back as this page may be updated before or after your classes with us start.

Health
Our number one aim is to ensure that Adventure Circus is not responsible for a COVID-19 outbreak. Do not attend any outdoor or indoor sessions if you are feeling generally unwell, or have any of the following symptoms – a high temperature, a continuous cough, loss in your sense of taste / smell. Always consider first if it is right for you, your family, your friends and us to attend our circus space.
INDOOR CLASSES
Lower class capacity
We have reduced class numbers across our classes and also reduced our instructor numbers per class. In all adult (age 14+) classes, please remain 1m from other participants. Please don’t touch / use any equipment that is not required for your class. In our kids/junior/teens classes we will adhere to guidelines for distancing as advised by the Government.
Change in class format
We have removed the fitness element from all of our age 14+/adult aerial classes and have instead added Flexibility and WorkUs classes at no extra cost to your class package (adults and those in ‘teens’ classes) so that you keep up these important skills. Spaces are limited, 12 per class, please book into WorkUs by Whatsapping Suzie on 07985 408925 and Flexibility by Whatsapping Jo on 07808 060870.
Register and temperature checks
We have now removed the pre-class temperature check but are still keeping a class register for track and trace purposes. Please wear a mask when you arrive and register with your instructor.
Personal Protection (PPE)
Our staff will wear the appropriate PPE when taking the class register and cleaning. Please wear a mask when you arrive and register. You are welcome to wear a mask when training.
Hand & feet cleanliness
Please wash your hands often (and your feet to keep our equipment as fresh as possible). You must bring hand sanitiser with you to our circus space and use it regularly. If you cough or sneeze, please wash your hands after.
Facility cleanliness
We have a weekly cleaner in place and our mats and surfaces are sprayed with a 60 day virus protection solution called Zonitise. We will also continue with our pre-lockdown cleaning schedule and have purchased cleaning products which are known to be effective against bacteria and viruses and are being currently used across Perth and Kinross schools. Students will be responsible for cleaning equipment/mats where asked.
Arrival and exit
Please arrive on time for your class. Please remain outside / in your car until 5 minutes before your class, when you can then enter and register. Students will be asked to bring minimal belongings to the circus space, and you must leave everything except water in a cubby hole. No food is permitted in the training space. There will be no facilities for children or adults accompanying students to wait within the space. We have 10-15 minutes of time between classes, and collection of children will be managed outside of the circus space. Thank you for your understanding.
Booking and missed classes (adult classes only)
Advance booking is required for all of our classes. No drop in options are available. If you cannot attend your class then you will be able to offer a ‘class swop’ on the Adventure Circus Facebook community page with your circus friends. If you cannot swop, then you can ‘make up’ your missed class by asking the instructor of the class you wish to attend, if there is space for you. We are also unfortunately not able to offer any refunds for illness during this time unless in very exceptional circumstances but will do all we can to let you have your full class allocation through swops and/or make up classes.
Safety during class
We will not be able to be as ‘hands on’ during classes as we have been in the past, and so we ask everyone to work within your strength limits and follow verbal instructions carefully. Equipment may be lowered to a safe working height to maintain personal safety / prevent injury / for your enjoyment. Hair must be tied up and all loose clothing tucked in (wear a leotard - it really helps protect you when upside-down) and all jewellery removed.
OUTDOOR CLASSES WHEN INDOOR NOT ALLOWED (not currently taking place)
Outdoor classes (age 11 years and under / 12+)
These classes will take place at Riverside Park. There are no facilities such as toilets open in the park. The weather can also be changeable, so please ensure your child is wearing layers so that they can keep warm/cool. We also don't have secure storage for valuables such as mobile phones so children should leave valuables at home.
Spectating - we are keen to try and minimise the risk of a public crowd forming and so please spectate from a safe distance and adhere to distance guidelines. You can help us by not staying still too long.
Outdoor classes (age 12+ / adult)
These classes will take place in our instructors gardens. Classes are 1-1 or 1-2. Toilet facilities are available. Sign in will be required for track and trace purposes. Groups of 2 will share equipment. Participants should sanitise their hands between each practise. The weather can also be changeable, so please ensure you are wearing layers so that you can keep warm/cool.
